Meyer Werft has been a family-owned company in the sixth generation, with Bernard Meyer at the wheel since 1982. For more than 213 years the shipyard has endeavoured to keep on developing and to be in line with the state-of-the-art.

The customers' requirements are always of utmost priority. The shipyard is at all times faced with the challenge to meet individual demands. Thanks to its high degree of flexibility, Meyer Werft can stand up against international competitors in the cruise ship market.

The shipyard is building cruise liners for customers from all over the world. A lot of jobs are created in the Papenburg area and beyond thanks to big orders, such as the ones recently placed by Disney, covering two newbuildings.
