The ships of the Royal Caribbean International (RCI) have been operating worldwide since 1969. The cruise operator has some 4,000 employees based in its four branches in Europe and the headquarters in Miami. By the end of the 1960s, the company was founded by three Norwegians, operating merely with one ship. Since that time one ship per year was added to the fleet until a total number of 20 was reached. Today the cruise liners call at more than 170 ports all over the world.
All of the ships dispose of characteristic amenities of different kinds: surf simulators and climbing walls on deck are special highlights just as the ice rink. A broad variety of activities are offered on board as well as unique shore excursions. There is always something for every taste: The discovering of travel destinations in a sporty way or exciting impressions of new cultures and traditions. The passenger is introduced to plenty of facettes of foreign countries and regions. The Meyer Werft has built four ships of this splendid fleet.
